Book of Fiqh – Sharia

Assalamu’alaikum waramatullahi wa barakatuh

Fiqh in Islam is defined as a set of rules that define the lifestyle of Muslims, its otherwise known as Sharia. There are many interpretations of Sharia and its important that we remember – the only correct Sharia is that as defined in The Qur’an and as provided in the Sunnah and Hadith of our Noble Prophet Muhammad (saws).

Haji Hamith and our Brothers and Sisters in Cambodia worked tirelessly to complete the translation of this book from Arabic to Khmer – we sincerely hope you find the contents of the book helpful in your pursuit for a better life for you and your family. Juzukum’Allah khairun!

Wassalamu’alaikum

Book of Family Importance

Assalamu’alaikum

Haji Hamith and our Brothers and Sisters in Cambodia have compiled a book outlining the importance of family in a Muslim’s life – it is said your family is half your deen and this is explained along with many other concepts. Please remember Brothers and Sisters, pleasing your Lord Allah (swt) involves more than just praying and fasting; a lot of it has to do with how you treat and raise your kids, how you respect your wife and your relations with kith and kin.

Alhamdulillah, Allah (swt) has created this wonderful thing we call a heart that can exert so many different emotions. Of those emotions it is said our mercy, and the mercy of the world is comprised of only about 1% of the mercy of our dear Lord Allah (swt).

Makhtum – The Sealed Nectar

Assalamu’alaikum!

Haji Hamith and our Brothers and Sisters in Cambodia are grateful to have been able to complete Makhtum – The Sealed Nectar in Khmer. This is an invaluable biography of our Prophet Muhammad (saws) and presents an overview of his life from the beginning to his humble endings.

Makhtum - The Sealed Nectar

Once you read this book, you will understand just how noble a person our Prophet Muhammad (saws) is. He was the type of person that could be entrusted with all the belongings with a group of warriors headed to battle, and was also well known as a fair mediator that provided sound reasoning.

Book of Salah

Assalamu’alaikum!

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Salah is one of the most important pillars of Islam, falling only behind the Declaration of Faith, the Shahadah. It is a cornerstone of our religious beliefs, and a great blessing for us all. Some may view our prayer obligations as more of a burden than a reward, but it is quite the opposite. The supplications in our prayers rigorously remind us of the oneness of Allah (swt); it also ingrains the concepts of life and death, mercy and punishment and the ultimate journey through life in the hereafter.

Our salah also serves as a gentle reminder that this life is only temporary and is used as a tool to keep us away from committing sins over and again. It brings light to our hearts and minds and cleanses our souls. It truly is a blessing, and any true Muslim will tell you – offering Salah is only as hard as you make it. If there is a will, there is a way in sha Allah and even in this regard, Allah (swt) is the most understanding, the most merciful if one cannot offer their prayer in a timely manner.

Haji Hamith worked to put this salah book together for our Cham/Khmer Muslim brothers and sisters so that we may all learn how to offer salah properly. Please enjoy reading the book and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We ask Allah (swt) to forgive us for any omissions or mistakes we may have made.

Book of Tawhed

Assalamu’alaikum waramatullahi barakatuh,

Dear Brothers and Sisters, one of the most important aspects of Islam is Tawhed – the belief in the oneness of Allah (swt). Without this principle of monotheism, Islam would have no foundations and everything would fall apart. Of all the great sins, the only one that Allah (swt) will not forgive, is that of polytheism once a human being is aware of the existence of Allah (swt). This is commonly referred to as ‘shirk’.

There is major shirk, where a person openly (or secretly) associates anyone or anything with the greatness of our Lord Allah (swt). Then there is minor shirk, where a person only associates minor things in life with the greatness of Allah (swt), though this can be done unknowingly. There is a lot to learn dear Brothers and Sisters, and as devout Muslims it should be our goal to acquire as much knowledge as possible.

And we must stress – this is not only in regards to Muslim literature, it is also includes things that revolve around your daily life. Things such as your work, your education, and of course your family. Our religion is the religion of moderation dear Brothers and Sisters – extremism is not in our roots. In the end, remember – Allah (swt) has commanded us to treat our families fairly and equally, for it is our wives and children that make half our deen.

At-Tirmidhi Hadith 3096       Narrated by Anas ibn Malik

Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “When a man marries he has fulfilled half of the ‘deen’; so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half.”

Haji Hamith worked hard to have the Book of Tawhed written in Khmer, you can find it attached below along with the Kitab-at-Tawhed written by Sheikh-ul-Islam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahab. There are many misconceptions by our Muslims and non-Muslim peers alike when it comes to the topic of Tawhed and I implore you all – please give these books a read to try and understand what the underlying topic is all about.

The book provides an in-depth look at the basics of Tawhed, what a Muslim must entail in his belief in the oneness of Allah and what to avoid in order to show in the believer’s heart there can be only one God, and that is Allah (swt).

Our Life from Within the Grave

Assalamu’alaikum!

On our previous website, we had shared a book written by Husayn al-Awayishah and translated by Huda Khattab that went by the title of “The Grave -Punishment and Blessings”. Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer this book for reading, however there is another book entitled “The Soul’s Journey After Death” written by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, that is also highly relevant. This book will bring about an understanding of what exactly it is that happens when we all inevitably pass away. My Brothers and Sisters, if it’s one thing we’re all born with, regardless of race, religion or creed – it’s a date where we shall all pass away. No one but Allah (swt) knows the date of our passing, and in what manner.

That’s why we believe this book is such an important read; it really outlines the details surrounding our death and our tenure in the grave. It describes in detail the circumstances we will face, as is ascertained by review of the Noble Prophet Muhammad’s (saws) Sunnah and the collection of Hadiths.

Please give this book a thorough read, you will not regret it. There are some scary things described in the book, and we wish for none of them to fall upon us. There are also some relieving aspects described for those considered to be true believers by Allah (swt). My Brothers and Sisters- lets all endeavor to please our Majestic creator so that we may be among those who sleep peacefully in our graves until the Day of Reckoning. Amen!

Wassalamu’alaikum waramatullah
